Vincent Tsz Yuen Wong, a native of Hong Kong began his violin studies at the age of six. He was awarded the Bachelor of Music Studies (Honours) degree with first-class honour from Hong Kong Baptist University and the Master of Arts in Music from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also holds the Licentiate Diploma (LTCL) from Trinity College of Music. He studied violin performance with Mr. Ray Tsoi.
Winning prizes in violin solo and primary school orchestra in Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Festival. Wong had appeared as a soloist in Hong Kong City Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall and Hong Kong Space Museum.
Wong is a diverse musician. He has an immense passion in playing chamber music and orchestra since his study at the university. He was an active member of Collegium Musicum Hong Kong and HKBU Symphony Orchestra during his study. He also worked with eminent artists including Anne Akiko Meyers, Simone Lamsma, Nicola Cabell, Louise Kwong, Robert Blocker, Colleen Lee, Melvyn Tan, Pius Cheung and Eriko Daimo. Besides, he had participated in many masterclasses with renowned artists like Leo Philips and Sean Wang.
Aside from the classical music genre, Wong had also invited to participate in recording the soundtrack of the local film “Weeds on Fire”, a soundtrack composed by the Hong Kong composer Mr Day Tai. He also established himself as a gig violinist and frequently performed in wedding and pop concerts.
