Caleb Li is a musician from Hong Kong, specializing in viola, violin and composition. Currently based in London, UK, Li is pursuing a Master of Performance in Viola at the esteemed Royal College of Music under the mentorship of Nathan Braude. Prior to this, Li graduated with First Honours from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he studied under the guidance of esteemed instructors Goh Ching, Ho Hong Ying, and Dr. Joseph Kam. Notably, Professor Elvis Cheuk has played a pivotal role as one of Li's major teachers throughout his musical journey.
With a vibrant musical background, Li has actively contributed to the music scene in Hong Kong. He has held prominent positions such as Principal Viola in the Hong Kong Youth Philharmonica, Violin Player in the Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong, and Violin/Viola Player in The Chinese University of Hong Kong Chung Chi Orchestra. Furthermore, Li has showcased his talent as a first violinist in the Dream Philharmonica Hong Kong and has also performed as a guest player (violin) in The Education University of Hong Kong Orchestra and as a guest player (viola) in the Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra. His performances have extended beyond orchestras, and he has graced chamber music events like the French May Concert 2022 and the Bauhinia Concert. Li's dedication and skill have also taken him to
international music festivals, including Astona international etc...
Apart from his performance expertise, Li offers private lessons in viola, violin, and composition. Whether through in-person sessions or online instruction, Li provides comprehensive guidance tailored to each student's needs. Additionally, he welcomes performance opportunities, recording projects, and composition commissions. Li's students benefit from his exceptional ability to foster a deep understanding of music and develop strong sight-reading skills, resulting in outstanding performances in exams and concerts.
