Teaching Diary - Self-directed learning

Through the music lesson, students learn how to jot down the notes for practice. They have to organise the points in the lessons and mark them on the score, e.g. wrong notes, fingering, ways to practice etc. Taking notes themselves can help them remember the key points deeply and truly understand what they learnt.
We also discuss how to solve the problems or what to improve instead of just sitting here and listening to the teachers’ advice. Self-directed learning is the way we should do at school as well.
