Teaching Diary - Key speed

This exercise is related to our activities introduced before, e.g. strength of finger and hand coordination. Key speed is one of the elements to control the intonation.

In order to know the mechanism of piano and feel the relationship of hammer and strings, students have to play in three different levels of volume - loudest, silent (yes! no sound) and softest. The fingers should stand properly so that we can control the key speed easily.

It is good to let them know the relationship of hammer and strings before learning how to create the sound.
