As a music teacher

Some students said they want to be a music teacher, but they are afraid of not being experienced and qualified as a teacher at the same time. In fact, "experienced" and "qualified" are some of the factors only. The major element of being a good teacher is teaching sincerely. 

Let me share my point of view about being a music teacher after teaching for several years.

- Playing music and "typing" on the keyboard are different. We are not only playing all the notes out, but also enjoying the music. Teaching students how to appreciate music is the most important thing. 

- Do not put our expectation/expectation from the society onto a student. Each student should have their characteristic and progress. Thus, as a teacher, we need to teach them in accordance with their aptitude.

- Keep improving ourselves and finding new teaching methods to solve student's problems. Stay curious about everything.

Before, I was struggling with sharing student's videos online as the videos may not be "perfect" enough. I was afraid of being judged by others. But somehow, students are motivated by sharing his/her videos online. They are really serious about taking videos and always ask me to record their progress. Therefore, motivating students is more crucial than just pursuing "perfect". That's what education should be.
